The Belfer family endowed the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School.

The family provided funding for the Belfer Research Building at Weill Cornell Medicine, established the Belfer Center for Applied Cancer Science at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, established the Belfer Neurodegenerative Consortium at the MD Anderson Cancer Center and established the Belfer Institute for Advanced Biomedical Studies at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

The Belfer family founded the 92NY Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact, which created and incubated #GivingTuesday, the global generosity movement. The family is also a long-time supporter of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where the Robert and Renee Belfer Court in Early Greek Art is located, and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, where it established the naming gift for the Music Director of the Center’s Summer Orchestra.
